Statox 503 Control Module – The all-rounder in measurement technology
The Statox 503 Control Module can be used to control any of our measuring heads, whether for toxic or flammable gases.
It provides a 4-20 mA output signal and has three powerful relays for alarm 1, alarm 2 and system error. This means that peripheral alarm signals can be controlled with up to 8 A!
In addition, the control module can be converted to a collective alarm at the touch of a button – this makes it flexible and saves storage costs.

Features Statox 503 Control Module
SIL2 – Functional safety paired with flexibility
As a stand-alone control module, it fulfils the functional safety requirements of DIN EN 61508 and DIN EN 61511. It operates in LOW demand mode and achieves SIL2.
In conjunction with the Statox 501 ARE and HRC measuring heads, the new Statox 506 and Statox 560, gas detection systems for flammable and toxic gases can also be put together to fulfil functional safety requirements.
The Statox 503 Control Module therefore fulfils the same safety requirements as a cross-process system, but is considerably cheaper, easier to install and can be operated without special training.
Intuitive Operation
The menu navigation is clearly and intuitively structured, providing all the essential information in just a few steps. Whether it’s for setting up the parameters during commissioning, or the required routine adjustments or proof tests.
The corresponding measurement program for the sensor head is easily selected, and the measurement value is then digitally displayed in the desired unit: ppm, % LEL, or % Vol..
In the submenus of the control module, alarm thresholds can also be set, relays can be switched active or passive, and the zero point, bridge voltage, status of the analogue output, etc. can be displayed.
Installation and removal – simple and convenientThe Statox 503 control module is clipped onto a power rail (bus adapter). This provides the 24 VDC power supply for all modules and forwards any alarms to the bus module.
The terminal blocks at the front are pluggable – this allows the measuring heads or alarm peripherals to be connected quickly and easily.
